Al-Hamd Islamic University

Introduction:

AL HAMD Islamic University (AIU) is conceived by AL HAMD Educational Society (AES), which is established and registered as non profitable organization with the vision of Promoting Education from grass root to higher level. The Al-Hamd Educational Society is already operating number of educational institutions like Balochistan Institute of Technology, Dar e Arqam School of Islam and Modern Sciences and Al-Hamd Schools of Islam & Modern Sciences. Moreover the society has also established commercial Software Development and IT Consultancy Firm namely BITSOFT and the Islamic Research Organization the Quran Research Academy (QRA)

Al-Hamd Islamic University is a chartered by the Provincial Assembly of Government of Balochistan under Act II of 2005. It is also recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) and is the first private sector Islamic University of Pakistan.

Alberoni University

In 1998 the concept of establishment of a university with Sharya, Law, Agriculture, Engineering and Medical faculties in Kapisa Province was approved to as an institution of Higher Education Ministry. On 2000 it started its activity with one Faculty (Shariya) and in the year 2002 during its registration, it had 5 faculties. The faculty of education in the year 2003 and faculty of literature in the year 2004 were registered. Totally this university has 6 faculties with 1643 of 1581 are male students and other 62 female students and 61 professors. (2008)

Khost University

Khost University (Pashto: د خوست پوهنتون) (nickname: Shaikh Zayed University) is located in the border town of Khost in eastern Afghanistan. It was established in the year 2000. It was shifted from its previous temporary location in Peshawar, Pakistan, where it was named "Afghan University Peshawar" by special order of President Hamid Karzai.

Balkh University

Balkh University (Persian: دانشگاه بلخ) is located in Mazari Sharif, capital of Balkh province, in northern Afghanistan. Established in 1986, the university in 2008 had about 5500 students and is the third largest in Afghanistan after Kabul University and Nangarhar University. Faculties include medicine, engineering, economics, journalism, literature, law and science.

Air University

			How to apply			An applicant will make an application to the Admission Office on a prescribed form. The date for application will be indicated on the advertised document. An applicant will apply for Full Time Status in case of being available for the PhD Program on a dedicated basis spending office hours on the campus of AU for three full calendar years with vacations not exceeding two months in any calendar year, or Part Time Status in case of concurrent employment.

Email: admissions@mail.au.edu.pk	Fees & Financial Aid Tuition Fees @ AU Fees for each semester must be paid in advance and within the stipulated period. First semester’s fees are charged as equivalent to the average semester fee and adjusted in subsequent semesters. Tuition Fees are to be paid only upon receipt of the bill from the Office of Finance. The bill will be sent to all registered students AFTER they have formally registered for the courses. The fees must be settled within the deadline as stipulated in the bill. Students who fail to pay fees within the stipulated periods will have their names struck off the University roles. A student whose name has been thus struck off but who is otherwise eligible to continue his/her candidature will be reinstated only after he/she has settled all outstanding fees / fines and paid re-admission fee as applicable at the time. Note: All Fees, except security fee, are non-refundable. Admission of result awaiting candidates will be cancelled if they fail to meet the minimum eligibility criteria after declaration of the awaited result and tuition fees, if submitted, will be refunded. Students are not allowed to drop courses during their first two semesters. Refunds for dropped courses from third semester onwards are issued as per policy outlined in student handbook. Payment of Fees Fee is to be paid before the start of semester. Fee bills shall be enclosed in the admission letters sent to successful candidates. Last date for fee submission according to first merit list is 28 July, 2011. Last date for fee submission for second merit list (if any) is 13 August, 2011, whereas last date for fee submission for third merit list (if any) is 22 August, 2011. There shall be no concession in the fee or extension in the due date. Partial payments are not accepted. Candidates failing to submit fee by due date shall lose their seats, which will be offered to the next candidate on the merit list. Financial Aid Merit Scholarships Air University is a non-profit organization and charges subsidized fees from its students. However, to encourage hardworking and brilliant students, scholarships are awarded on merit, these can be up to 60% of tuition fee. The University may also utilize the services of students in its various activities. Students will be compensated financially for rendering such services. No concession or scholarship is given at the time of admission. Need Based Scholarships The needy students may apply for need based scholarship on the prescribed form available at the Department Coordinator’s Office after second semester onwards. The award of Need Based Scholarship is subject to availability of funds, high performance and good conduct of the students.
