University of Punjab

          Procedures for admission to most of the taught degree programs are generally undertaken in the months of August/September each year. After the completion of admissions the classes generally start in the beginning of October each year. Admissions to certain diploma , certificate and other academic programs may be made according to a different time schedule. Due to additional time required for procedural matters the foreign students are advised to start the process of applying for admission well in advance.

          For admission to M.A. / M.Sc. first year, B.A. / B.Sc. degree in the relevant field is required. For degree programs in disciplines like Fine Arts , Pharmacy , Geology , Chemical Engineering and Commerce is generally open to students with intermediate or equivalent with the required subject combinations.

         Different The Academic Council of the University of the Punjab, at its meeting held on 24th April, 1983 , after considering the recommendations of the Chairmen / Directors / Principals of the University Teaching Departments Institutes / Constituent Colleges, Deans of the Faculties and Admission Committee, proposed the Regulations for admission to M.A. / M.Sc. / M.P.A / M.B.A / M.Com. / M.F.A / M.L.S. / L.L.B. / B.Sc. (Engg.) / B.Sc. Applied Geology / B. Pharmacy / B.Com. / B.F.A / Certificate / Diploma / Post Graduate Diploma and M.Phil classes of the University Teaching Departments / Institutes / Constituent / Affiliated Colleges. These Regulations were approved by the Syndicate at its meeting held on 3rd September 1983.
